According to the second installment (1989) of the legendary trilogy Back to the Future, today is the day when Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Emmett Brown “Doc” (Christopher Lloyd) arrive in their DeLorean to Hill Valley, California, on their time travel from Saturday, October 26, 1985.
Despite the evident (and quite disappointing) absence of hoverboards and flying cars on our streets, as a proud Geek, I cannot let this long-awaited date pass without paying a small tribute to a saga that has become an icon, and has exerted a great influence on an entire generation.
Today, more than ever, it makes sense to say: The future is now!
